Hp Help And Support Windows 7
No HP did not say what the problem is. They won't. And, dealing with them is very hard if feel. language problem in most cases. Microsoft said it is a update issue from something that HP or Intel has as an update. I am sure not a computer tech type person at all. At 69 it is hard for me to figure all this out. I just know that there is a lot of fury on the HP and MS forums about the black screen thing. It seems to happy to those of us that have the issue in the same way. We update from the windows store, it works well for awhile and then all the sudden after certain updates are done the computer boots and will not come out of a black screen. We shut the computer down and then start it up pressing F11 and an error code comes up (usually oxC1900101-0x40019) with the statement that 8.1 could not be installed and reverts back to windows 8 after doing a recover. I am now running 8.1 again but fear doing updates. How will one ever know if they find a fix for the problem I just am really afraid to do anything other than windows updates. I do not feel comfortable doing any HP updates but also feel they are there for a good reason. Does it amount to 'if it isn't broke don't fix it?' I want to THANK YOU for your previous (very detailed) reply. I will have to read and try to consume it all.
